Sure would seem that a perfect defense situation is being created here for someone involved in a hit and run... “Your honour, there is already precedents out there that clearly indicate that I would likely have been killed if I did not get the stink out of there immediately.....â€
In such a situation, the best thing to do would be to, KEEP DRIVING, get on your cell phone, call 911, and report the location of the accident and that an ambulance is needed. Then arrange to meet a cop car ELSEWHERE to make your statement.
