To: Hillarys Gate Cult

Just tried out Linux Mint from a flash drive. Looks good. Thought about importing all of the Windows settings and bookmarks it will let me ( from Firefox ) but then realized that most of it I don’t use daily. Would rather start clean.

Seen various web opinions on whether to use anti antivirus and malware programs on Linux. Thoughts?

Probably would be wise to use at least an anti malware program like MBAM. There are a bunch of good free anti virus programs out there too. Avast is pretty decent, Asquared free is decent, I believe comodo has a free AV program also.

Take a look around komando.com, there’s a ton of useful info and links to numerous apps there.
