Welcome, mate. I think you will find that it also makes browsing easier, since the webpages load so very much faster without having to load all those ads and annoying popups on certain webpages.

For a page you frequently visit, if there is an embedded ad such as "Joe's Heating -best prices" for example, one of the addons allows you to right click on it and select: Block An Ad On This Page.

Just be careful not to allow a too aggressive setting, as this can block some webpages entirely that require an ad be displayed before the rest of that page will fully load.
