As others have already commented, I too have long ago abandoned Network TV. Of concern to me however is the Web. I get most of my info nowadays via the Web. And to keep tabs on the “enemy”, I regularly visit web pages of media and “news” organizations I abhor! I feel that if I don’t keep an eye on them, I will never be informed and ready to act. Problem is, every “hit” on a web page brings them REVENUE! Don’t know if anyone else notices the same thing, but more and more web pages either include or are entirely VIDEO feeds, of course, with Ad’s preceding the video. I suspect this brings them even more revenues than a regular web page “hit”. Anyone have any comments on this? Am I financially rewarding the enemy every time I visit their web page?

I use Opera, and also FireFox for when I want to download a vid, and they both have add-ons that can help with this. Ghostery, AdBlocker, and AdBlockerPlus are available for both browsers and quite effective at stopping annoying ads and popups.

NoScript is as well, but only offered on FireFox. Give them a try! Makes quite a difference, I must say.
