Nearly a year after the Senate rejected an effort to expand background checks for gun buyers, top Senate Democrats said Thursday that they still lack the votes to successfully revisit the issue.
A day after the latest shootings in Fort Hood in Texas, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., told reporters, I would like to be able to bring it back up, but I need some more votes.

And if anything they will get shorter as the election gets closer, Harry Reid isn’t going to touch gun control with a ten foot poll until at least after the election (if he is even still majority leader).
A day after yet another damaged person falls through the cracks of the mental health system and goes to a self defense free zone and kills some innocent people without doing anything that any laws being considered would have conceivably stopped him from doing...
And we still can’t get votes to take away innocent peoples basic right to own property and defend themselves.
Go figure.
I'm sure Dear Leader is working on something "under the radar".
Wasn’t the reason the NRA supported Reid was because he wasn’t going to attack gun rights?

Clear evidence this is what the damned (in the correct, Biblical sense) false-flag shooting was all about, anyway: ginning up support to demonize gun owners in this country.
