Maybe a few weeks in jail would improve the accuracy of his response.

“Congressman, I wish I had better answers,” Jones said.

He means, “I wish we had thought to plant something incriminating, we’ll be more thorough in the future.”

Elijiah Cummings is up to his bloodshot eyeballs in this investigation

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1012/82584.html

Elijah Cummings confronts anti-vote-fraud group

Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, ranking member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has sent two letters to the Houston-based organization seeking “specific documents about the manner in which True the Vote and its affiliated organizations have been challenging the registration of thousands of voters across the country based on insufficient, inaccurate and faulty evidence.”

...............

Cummings complained that True the Vote has “not produced a single document” yet in response to his original Oct. 4 letter, but has asked for a face-to-face meeting with the Maryland Democrat. Cummings declined any such meeting until True the Vote turns over the information he is seeking, which includes estimates of the number of poll monitors it will field, where these monitors will be sent, and copies of the voter rolls it is using to determine voter eligibility.

Back when it was the BATF I attended a high-end gun show in Tennessee. There were hundreds of venders. A BATF team was walking around as we set up. At the front was a man with really exotic $5,000 antique guns. Suddenly they were shouting at him. They threw cuffs on him, then while he watched they brought a trash bin over and purposely slammed these $5,000 antiques into the bin. It was obvious they were causing damage on purpose. I asked my Uncle, who was a small individual dealer, what was going on and he said, “It’s intimidation. They’re just keeping everybody in line. They’ll release him at the end of the show and give him his guns back.” That’s exactly what they did. It was one of the most astonishing things I’d ever witnessed.

I’ll tell you though, the BATF really pissed the dealers off. My feeling was if there was something they could do to pull one over on them, even if they wouldn’t have done it before they’d do it now. There were state tax revenuers walking the show. The dealers, including my uncle, would wait until the tax guys were tied up and then pack and vamoose. I’d wager they collected only a small percentage of the tax. Granted that wasn’t a BATF thing, but the BATF’s actions set the atmosphere. Everybody was darned angry.

That was a lesson in what the BATF really is; essentially a terrorist organization with badges.

Ahhh...because they were ordered to by ERIC HOLDER of the JUST US Department?

Though not very smart, I’ll bet the a’hole did so with a PHONE CALL on the burn phone he keeps for such situations. Can’t risk having any of those pesky emails showing up in a century or two after he and obozo are safely in their graves.

How long does a moral society survive when those in government and in law enforcement are serial liars and career criminals?

“high-risk indicators,” such as criminal activity”

Yeah right. Political and religious beliefs are now “high risk” indicators.

“Did anyone at the White House...?”
“No,” Jones replied.
“Did any federal agency talk to you or anyone at ATF...?”
“No.”
“Did any member of Congress contact you or anyone at ATF...?”
“Not to my knowledge,” Jones replied.
“Have you talked to any other federal agency...”?
“Not to my knowledge.”
___
From a definitive “NO” to a “NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE”. Jones is lying through his teeth.

Subpoena the field agents that conducted the visits and the lower level supervisors. They aren’t used to Congressional hearings and pressure. They might actually commit truth, inadvertently.

I was watching parts of the testimony of Morrell yesterday. The way he answered questions, combined with Samatha Powers answers for UN position, Lois Lerner taking the fifth and rubbing it in their faces, the IRS head smug answers, and on and on. They not only refuse to answer, they are downright blatently disrepectful and snarky about it. And the Repubs just bend over and take it. Those people on the Hill do not seem to grasp they were put back in charge for a reason. It reminds me of professional wrestling and the stage act of just about losing and suddenly getting a second wind to win. Makes my blood boil.
