A Law school.
Really?! I'd love to know which one. So I can advise aspiring young attorneys-to-be not to waste their money.
I just cannot see anything in the founding that proclaimed NBC as being born within the border of the country. They were world travelers back then, they'd have understood the possibility of a citizen being born on foreign soil to a couple that were citizens.
It makes zero sense to exclude some based solely on geography at the actual time of birth. Some poor kid gets born on a cruise ship in the middle of the Atlantic and tough luck you can't be president? Absurd.
Cruz' mother was a US citizen of legal age. Hence, Cruz was a citizen-at-birth no matter where he was born.
By virtue of being born in Canada, Cruz could've claimed Canadian citizenship upon reaching his majority. Otherwise, the circumstance has zero impact on his US citizenship.
US citizenship law only recognizes two categories of citizens: citizens-at-birth and naturalized citizens.
I am curious. Adonde adelante usted la ascella nina?
Had we followed the Founding Fathers' intent, there never would have been these many years and damage from the one known as "obama", but he's far from the worst case and your definition opens the door to it.
We humans often see that two edged sword as we want it to be and will not consider the worst case edge when looking at the favorite edge. We usually have to get cut a few times and feel the pain first, but even that isn't enough for many of us.
As such, we become familiar with expressions like "unexpected consequences", "unanticipated consequences" or "unintended consequences" and even "no turning back" and similar after the fact/after the damage is done sayings, things that strict definitions are designed to keep and protect us from.
Too bad the former Constitution's built in safe guards have been purposefully ignored or defined away one by one.
We were warned long, long ago of these times, attitudes and people and that the warnings would be ignored. Tough to watch, even tougher to live, but I'm surrounded by liberals/progressives, family, friends and co-workers, who just know what isn't so and are continuously shocked when that "small razor blade" cuts to the bone.
They've learned how to blame and I've learned to get out of the way.
Cheers
Please forgive me, I am fluent only in redneck. I pale before your learnedness.
“..Any other good jokes ..”
Sure, except I’m not laughing. I’m very disappointed. I USED to think that even though I disagreed with Ron Paul on many issues, I loved him for being pro-life. BUT sadly, he’s not a pro-life as many of us thought.
Ron Paul....
“Voted NO on restricting interstate transport of minors to get abortions. (Apr 2005)
Voted NO on making it a crime to harm a fetus during another crime. (Feb 2004)
Rated 56% by the NRLC, indicating a mixed record on abortion. (Dec 2006)”

Why is Ron Paul against a parent deciding what’s right for their minor child?
Well it is sad, but perhaps we can muster at least another Abe Lincoln once more. One can only try.
It's painfully clear that you don't have any idea about the practical application of RIL.
Hint: It's a favorite of ambulance chasers, not con law profs.
You're a troll or a Paulbot. In either case, you're dismissed as being unsound of mind.
I since you don’t like humor. I heard former NC Gov Jim Martin say thar at Tar Heel boy state. He was born in Georgia.
