Didn't see this posted...
They could not come into your house in base housing because of the civilian spouses. They could enter your room in the barracks but someone from your unit had to be there and they needed probable cause like they thought you were hurt or something. Even though the dorm manager had keys to all rooms he could not just go in your room unannounced except for emergencies.
This is USAF regulations.
Tadslos kindly provided this 2012 Ft. hood regulation in his post 615 (his link works, I don’t know if this will9
http://www.hood.army.mil/dhr/pubs/fhr190-11.pdf FH Reg 190-11 Dated 22 May 2012
From reading it, what I read was done in 2009-10, has been changed significantly. And It does NOT cover soldier’s personally owned guns who live off post.
Way too old to be Spc.
Tonight is no different than Benghazi for zero.
He takes no part in the day to day running of the govt. Its all val/jar and others.
He’s little more than a fund-raiser-in-chief and always has been.
Shelter in place.
Lead from behind.
Side with the Muslims.
Our beta male president is a clear and present danger.
Would not matter. Ft Hood has automatic gates where there are no guards. You use your ID to open the barriers. If you are not assigned there or a visitor then you will get a hands on ID check. Too many personnel there to do vehicular searches.
Link, please?
Don’t know enough myself and commented from my perspective.
automatic gates; sure has changed since I left there in July 1980. And haven’t been back since. Back then the 1st Cav Div, 2nd Armd Div and 6th Air Cav Rgt were the primary combat units on post, plus all of the III Corps support units.
Nope, not too old to enlist and still be a 34 year old E-4/SPC 4 (Old army designation)
The maximum age of non-prior service enlistment, under federal law used to be age 35.

I didn’t know one could search out reviewers, members over at amazon, probably possible somehow.
But there is an author and a motivational speaker named Ivan S. Lopez, I doubt if this is the same person.

See my post 623 with corrected info about post regulations on privately owned firearms. Also Tadslos’ post 615, and finally Kingu’s post 621
USAF was before your 28th birthday.
Yes, of course, but how many actual 34 year old spcs. are there? Damn few I would wager.
Oh well, I got some Ivan Lopez’s with wishlists at amazon:

Video games. Though, someone watching video games, even violent ones isn’t necessarily indicative of how they may act.
This one has a reel lawnmower and crock pots, doubt if he is the culprit: http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/Q8P8WBP3NZX1/ref=cm_wl_search_3?tag=wieowienl-21
And for the record, there’s a bunch of Ivan Lopezs if one wants to go through them all, here:

He’s still a Spc four years later?
Shep is an idiot.
I find him hard to stomach.
I am watching FoxNews. Col. West and Megan Kelly are on. An interesting discussion on who should be able to carry on military bases. I didn’t catch all of it, but I have to disagree with some parts of what I heard. It seems it would be ok if some NCOs could carry a weapon, but not all soldiers could be trusted. Part of the reason is PTSD. Personally, I think PTSD would immediately disappear if rules of engagement were changed so that the enemy could be killed (and we shouldn’t give a crap about collateral damage.) Anyways, if we can trust young men to be go to war and defend our freedom we should be able to trust them to carry a firearm. This is not an age thing either, I have a 19 year old daughter in college and I want her to have her God given rights to defend herself. (she has been shooting since she was 9 and is very safe and incredibly accurate.)
Ivan Lopez ?
Was he on a Mexican Radio ?
