My husband is a FF, and they are told not to wear their wedding ring to work. It’s because it may get contaminated by hazardous materials.
So when we got married I got him a bling ring with diamonds, and I got him a very simple plain gold band. He wears the plain one when he’s on duty.
He just won’t leave the house without a wedding band on.
