The funniest thing is, I don’t know anyone who watches “Girls”
McCarthy’s no stranger to that.
Sluts love their sluts
No modesty allowed on the left I guess
My eyes are burning at the thought of that. And when I say “burning”, I mean “smoking, bubbling, melting and running down my face”.
I saw a small segment on one of the Fox News shows and I didn’t even know the identity of those two idiot women.
Thank God, for that.
I watched the segment from “Girls” they were talking about. GEEZ............If that is an example of the modern American woman, we are lost. Nothing could say us other than an alien invasion. Lena Dunham “may” be able to write some sort of comedy for TV or stage, but she could not carry an acting role in a 55 gallon barrel. While not a beauty queen, her “bad” attitude toward life and herself seems to come through in her acting. It maybe that we would not mind seeing her nude if she had a better personality.(I am being generous I know.) Her tattoos are both ugly and placed badly.
Reading what she has said about the nudity in her show, I feel she “forces” herself to do nude scenes because she is insecure about her body. Why else write so many nude scenes and then defend then with such anger?
(I am not a shrink, nor have I slept in a Holiday Inn recently.) Just an opinion from a male that carries no weight her her world. Nor should it, just as her words carry none in MY world.
Frankly this show should be titled ‘The Spew’ for a variety of reasons.
The Dreck
“...is an example of the modern American woman, we are lost.”
Be of good cheer. Ms. Dunham does not represent the whole of the female gender in America. There are a lot of women who carry themselves in a dignified manner, and are morally grounded.
Hollywood is not an accurate portrayal of American citizens as a whole.
I was going to suggest ‘Jackass’, but that title’s already taken, and deservedly so.
I agree with you. It was more a rhetorical comment. Yet, she is portrayed by shows like this, awards shows, and MSM as a modern American woman. Young minds can be influenced by such crap; if the parents aren’t involved.
Her and others like her are why there is no TV in our house. Wait a year and buy what we want on DVD; get some popcorn and watch the whole year without commercials. Life can be very good....lol.
We haven’t had televised programming in our home in 10+ years and the family doesn’t miss it at all. We watch films, documentaries, and educational material on DVD or the internet.
It is true that Hollywood has an influence on especially a young audience, but that does not translate into accurately portraying and representing American society as a whole.
Maybe they can have show and stand in solidarity with Miley Cyrus and wear big foam fingers and twerk on stage maybe Whoopi would be up for it.
Good Lord the crazies are running the asylum.
Her son must be so proud.
“Her son must be so proud.”
Well I’m quite certain that her “appearance” on The View is tame compared to her other “body” of work.
The autistic one?
Just because nobody on Free Republic is watching Girls doesn't mean that nobody is watching it.
