Monsanto has the first contract that I’m aware of to protect their intellectual property invested in the seed.
In the 60 years prior, farmers like my father and myself always bought seed corn, as the commercial seed out produced homegrown seed by as much as a factor of 5 or 10. The factors were, and still are, higher for the better producing single cross hybrids.
I know it won’t dissuade you, but your ignorance on something so simple as the above indicates you should stick to posting on things you know something about.
