By their own numbers (48 million uninsured), that still leaves 38.5 million uninsured.

“At least 6 million people have signed up for health coverage on the new marketplaces, about one-third of whom were previously uninsured.”
2 million
“At least 4.5 million previously uninsured adults have signed up for state Medicaid programs”
2 + 4.5 = 6 million
An additional 3 million young adults have gained coverage in recent years through a provision of the law that enables dependent children to remain on their parents’ health plans until they turn 26,
6 + 3 million = 9 million.

I am unclear on the concept. Even the WH is putting out a phony number of only 6 million enrollees, so how could ObamaCare be providing coverage for 9.5 million uninsured?

I’m amazed at the farcical lengths the media will go to for statistics.
Our government cannot tell us how many people have enrolled, paid for, gotten covered, % of Medicaid, used, needed, previously had insurance or were previously uninsured and how many people lost insurance because of Obamacare. But somehow, the LA Times is able to positively come up with a figure that shows how many people have gotten cheaper insurance than they otherwise would have and/or didn’t previously have at all.
Really? Who take this crap seriously?

How many of these *insured* are paying for this, or have to be subsidized?
Medicaid is now run via an additional government bureaucracy of which you and I get to additionally subsidize - while the entire, once great system is devalued. Thanks, 0’Commie.

At least 9.5 million previously uninsured people have gotten health insurance since Obamacare started, surveys and reports show. That's great news.
Maybe now we will get our $2,500 health insurance savings. - Tom
