Perhaps not—it turned out he didn’t what HE was talking about in that case.

It’s hard for older folk to stay focused on any one topic for very long. The urge to simply take a nap is overwhelming at times. Al Sharpton has developed a manner of coping with this need to nap, in which his eyes remain open, but external stimuli like people speaking is entirely beyond his comprehension. If recalled at all, it is simply a very vivid dream, and he dismisses this set of impressions from his conscious memory.

Take it easy on the old guy. After all, he may not have many years left. It’s a little late for him to develop any kind of critical thinking. Everything has been reduced to reaction phrases and statements memorized by rote.

It may be late for him to develop critical thinking, but that doesn't mean he should stay on TV. Retire him to some place away from the public.

For all of our sakes.

He never has got it. He only cares about stirring the pot and lining his own pocket.

Exactly. He doesn’t care about the issue(s) he may be talking about at the time, as long as he can get someone to pay him.

Nature abhors a vacuum: nearly 50 years since MLK without a hint of a successor has led to the rise to prominence of swivel-eyed loons like Al Sharpton, along with entire networks squandering their hard-won First Amendment carve-out by putting him on the air repeatedly.

Nature abhors a vacuum

The fact that his head is still three-dimensional puts the lie to THAT statement. LOL!

One of the things that irks me the most is when talking to a black person “down with the struggle” they want to say I have no standing or understanding of their plight since I am white. While that may be a salient point, I grew up in the south and saw some blacks treated unfairly, but overall I never saw oppression to the level they like to draw on. I walked down the street with blacks, went to school and church with blacks, and ate meals with blacks. Not saying racism did not exist I just never say much of it in the “south” I lived in.

I grew up never taking a government handout and all through my adult years I have never taken a “check” nor claimed unemployment when I was out of work. I have been passed over for opportunities all in the name of affirmative action and forged my life on my own sweat and toil just as I expect all others to do. In the end it is my money they are playing poker with.

Take it easy on the old guy....it’s hard for an oldster to stay focused....the urge to nap is overwhelming....plus Al sometimes forgets to wear his Depends.

When Al gets bug-eyed before the mic, you know the urge to go is killing him.....but the lure of publicity is even greater than taking a leak.
