The people who think our tax contributions are theirs to spend on vanity projects are the problem. Enshrined rights of the Magna Carta and US Constitution have no meaning when politicians are the new (democratic) class system.
Gun rights are fine, but your out gunned and it took your dollars to make that happen. Will the USA rise up again and take back their rights, I doubt it.
With the help of the politician who is passing legislation to protect these animals within the society allowing them to live by thier laws, accepting money under the table, telling the voting public that you MUST accept these animals and thier religious beliefs or you are a hater, bigot racist. Tolerance works only in thier favor not yours
