Just after WWII Truman deported millions of Mexicans so returning GI’s could find jobs. Eisenhower tried the same thing after Korea for the same reason. But they stopped Operation Wetback because on-the-spot TV brought crying women and children into people’s homes and American’s were outraged. At that point it became impossible to deport the huge numbers that are here. However, if we stop paying welfare and giving away “free” medical and enforcing all the other laws they’re breaking, they’ll self-deport.
