Background checks don’t always detect bad apples; should have in this case tho. I know one of the systems they would have used and it should have picked up sufficient criminal history to have stopped him from getting the TWIC card if he had felony criminal history and were a security risk. Sounds to me like someone gave him a pass to get in; almost like it was pre-planned. Normally they would have flagged him (I would think unless there standards are almos non-existent).
I've been “unhired” (as I will call it for lack of a PC term) AFTER I was told they wanted Me (passed drug testing, had all the required background in the biz and Training and 10 years experience) to be told 4 days later that I had a “Criminal background” because of a $52.56 NSF check and went to (Kangaroo) court for it and had it reduced to a Traffic ticket offense.
Paid the NSF and fees, etc, etc.
Keeping in mind there is a Fraud in the Whitehut...
