“Bottom line...a bird in hand...Crimea went with Russia willingly. ..and I don’t buy for a minute, as some have attempted to say, it was at the end of a gun. International observers and many others attest to the fair reporting of the results....and even id you remove a percentage they still went with Russia.”

Russia National anthem sung to celebrate Crimea referendum in Simferopol, on March 17; 20,000 people were thre.

Very moving....some so full of pride, others even tearful. A ‘huge’ historical moment for these people...to them they are “Home”.

It's not hard to understand why Russian people are proud now..and Putin's ratings so high. Putin accomplished this in one of the most astounding and brilliant strategies executed ..... even our Military has said as much. It's very interesting reading and hearing some of their comments. They don't like Putin but they do respect the maneuvers Putin executed to accomplish his goal. Thank you for sharing this Marguerite.....they are right to celebrate....and I can say I saw this Historic moment.

Did you see the videos of the Crimea residents who went to Moscow for the signing. The ones taken by their own camera man to record it as they wanted?...I wanted to see the signing and the people...and Parliament members.....interesting to see them chatting beforehand. I saw more of the Kremlin in their videos than I've seen on line! What a work of art it is....and sooo Russian Style. Beautiful workmanship.
