Yep. Nothing wrong with federalizing education.
Something similar happened at a schoolmy daughter attended. The parents association raised moneyfor a computer labby partnering with a grocery store. The store gave money to the parents organization whenever someone checking out presented a card designating the donation be made. It took us two years ro put computers and software into each assroom. The summer after we completed the project, the county school system took most of our computers and sent them to other schools. When we objected we were told it wasn’t fair for our school to have all those computers. My response was that the other schools were just as capable of raising their own funds, after all they did eat, so shopped just as we did. They just needed some initiative and volunteers to organize the sponsorship and get the word out to the students and their parents. It didn’t matter, they still said it was unfair for our students to have more than others and that all equipment given to a school belonged to the county not the school. Fund raising of any kind for the school got tougher after that.
It is also not fair that the boys can hit farther and run faster. Can’t the judges fix that, too?
