Thanks for the links; thread/ping. Very interesting/informative words and deeds of Mike and Kristi. A Michigan “representative” in Washington and the family feeding off the loot.

Mike and Kristi Robbers?

Most of the work was done by Maggie back a few months ago. She is the best.

I didn't always agree with him, but my friends up in Brighton say he's actually a real good guy.

Livingston County is very conservative, so we might have a better conservative run there. My friend's the county Republican Party chair up there, but he's keeping his mouth shut if he has inside information outside to say that he's not running.

I know the guy who wrote that going back to law school and MSU. He's now Livingston County GOP Chair.

I emailed him about Garcia, and he told me he now lives in Warren so I doubt he's going to run. I know he voted for Granholm's tax increases as well because I asked him what was going on with his senator.

He's being tightlipped overall about the three reps currently there (Joe Hune, Bill Rogers, Cindy Denby). I wouldn't be surprised if one of them runs. I also heard Saul Anuzis might run.

Novi isn't even in the district. DeRoche would get killed. Multiple drunk issues.

Bishop seems like a good guy from the one or two times I met him when he ran for Attorney General at a GOP convention.

That techdirt article is innuendo and bullshit with no real sources whatsoever.

I think the readers here understand every article has a bias, as I read your posts I would say you may have one also knowing people around the congressman. Mike has done many good things in his career but leaving now you have to admit seems a bit strange. All I need to hear next is “ I’m leaving to spend more time with my family”

I do have a bias. I also disagree with Rogers on the debt ceiling (sometimes, he voted both ways) , budget, and the Patriot act. I also saw tons of innuendo with ALL of it based around the techdirt article which did not document anything, but what ‘might’ have happened.

2 other potential names have been thrown out since this morning (on Politics1):

Mike Bouchard (R) - Oakland County Sheriff

Bill Rogers (R) - State Rep. & Brother of Cong. Mike Rogers

How would running the brother go over in the district ?

“How would running the brother go over in the district?”

Good question, but the point is moot. Both Bill Rogers and Mike Bouchard have said they’re not interested in running.

Latest I've heard from a few sources.

Running - Bryan Barnett (R) who is Mayor of Rochester Hills, Ken Darga (D), Susan Grettenberger (D) who are "some dudes"

Probable - Former State Senator Mike Bishop (R), Ingham Clerk Barb Byrum (D)

Possible - Former MRP Chair Saul Anuzis (R), State Senator Joe Hune (R), "some dude" Bob Alexander (D)

Not Running - Bill Rogers, Gretchen Whitmer

Anuses is a toxic nightmare. I’d vote for the Democrat before voting for that RINO abomination.

Ingham Clerk Barb Byrum (D) is one of the 4 who illegally opened her county clerk office and provided marriage licenses to homosexual couples on a Saturday. (In an apparently planned move)
