small. 100 nukes. don’t sound small.

I think that if there ever was a nuclear war, global cooling would be about the least of our worries.
Why this? Why now???
0bamao will save us all from the Gorebull Warming but having a nuclear war with Pooty Poot.

The US and Soviets did a lot of nuke testing in the past. Really BIG nukes too. So, where was the global cooling then?
*cool*
An entire planet based on, "these findings"
I'VE found something ...
In the beginning was the Word ...
Good news, the fix for global warming has been discovered, and we can get rid of Pakistan...
Even if they are right (even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then) so what. Nuclear winter isn't going to deter an unstable regime any more than a "gun free zone" sign deters a mass murderer. Liberals...unrealistically expecting bad people to act rationally over and over and over again. Sheesh. We'll be keeping our nuclear deterrent. I'd rather be alive and cold rather than hot (briefly) and dead.
I’m formulating a good strategy here: Keep driving those SUVs, and drop a couple of nukes on Iran, now and then.
Dear 2ID,
tsk, tsk, now you are going to have the globull warming folks demanding that a nuke be set off just to stop the warming of the earth.
;-) G-F
I saw a listing on Fox News this week that had the total of US and Russian nukes at about 4,000. Using the 17,000 figure, that means there are 3 times the number of nukes in the world’s other nuke arsenals than are in the combined US & Russian. That is very scary, and I’m not being sarcastic. But the 17,000 may be a very old number, especially when I read about folks who complain about there being a half-million GIs on several hundred baases in Germany. All of those troops and bases have come home or been closed in the last 20 years.
Sounds like it’s the cure for “Global Warming.”
So could a big ol’ volcanic eruption; it’s happened several times in recorded history.
