Former Alaska governor and vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin has endorsed GOP U.S. Senate candidate Julianne Ortman, who is running in a crowded field of Republicans angling to unseat Democratic Sen. Al Franken.
In a post of her Facebook page, Palin slammed Franken, a former Saturday Night Live star and liberal radio host, calling his political career a joke. Palin also heaped praise on Ortman, a state senator, calling her a conservative champion and a fighter for life and for our Second Amendment rights.
Lets give voters a contrast this fall: a clown vs. a Mama Grizzly, an Obama 100 percenter vs. a Blue Star Mom, a talker vs. a doer, and a liberal Obama rubber stamp legislator vs. a proven conservative fighter, Palin wrote.

The thing most people do not notice is that SP is brilliant in her understanding of things.
Sarah, I have to disagree with you. Franken’s career as Senator is not a joke, since I’m not laughing. Franken needs to be defeated, thou.
Obamacrat Franken, must be defeated! and the whole of the Obamacrat Party humiliated and tossed into the ash can of history. All who forced that obamacare creature down the troats of the American people must be cast out!
I went to Ortman’s website and you can donate to the campaign but there is nothing indicating where she stands on any of the issues. So is Palin supporting her just because of her gender or does she know something Ortman isn’t willing to share with the rest of Minnesota?
Rumor has it Ortman is on the Brodkorb list of cheating politicians. The list was inadvertently published for a few hours on the federal court website, and she was supposedly on it. If this is true, it is outrageous that she’s running for office, as it will be used against her.
Ortman is on the right side of a number of issues.
She voted against establishing Governor Goofy’s health insurance exchange, carries an 88 percent lifetime rating from Minnesota Majority, and earned a 92 from the Taxpayers League of Minnesota in the last session.
In 2013, Ortman also earned a 100 rating from the Minnesota Family Council and, as pleasingly, a 0 rating from NARAL.
She also voted no on homosexual ‘marriage’, no to increasing minimum wage and no to authorizing financial aid for illegal alien college students. In short, she looks pretty solid.
