Spray up the sides of buildings, trees and shrubs; that’s where ticks climb and wait for a “blood meal” to walk by and drop on to them.

When I walked thru my tree growing fields, they dropped out of trees on to my straw hat and by the time I’d get back to my desk, I’d pick 5-10 out of my hair, shirt. Never got bit or stung in 22 yrs, ‘cause I ate so much garlic and onions, they’d never bite with the chemical coming out of my pores. Just crawled around on me. I used Hoppe’s No 9 as an aftershave, anyway. LOL. (Actually, it was Old Spice.) My employees all were bit and stung, but wouldn’t listen to my advice about garlic/onions.

I always said that if someone smelled like garlic and/or onions, they were my friend ‘cause they liked Italian food. If they smelled like Listerine or toothpaste, I didn’t want to know them. Heh.d get back to my desk, I
