Gluten consumption has never been shown to be associated with autism. Making a claim otherwise, with such certitude, is irresponsible at best, and proves only that you really don't have any idea what you're talking about. You should think before posting nonsense.

There is strong evidence that there are genetic components to autism. There have been more than 20 new gene variants identified by researchers that are linked to autism. There is also evidence that mothers who have induced and augmented labor are at a higher risk for delivering a baby who would eventually be diagnosed with autism. These represent legitimate causes for autism. Gluten is not one of them.

You should stop making this spurious claim on every autism thread. Otherwise, people will keep mistaking you for know nothings like Jenny McCarthy.

I am SURE there are genetic components to autism. I am also sure that sometimes genetic components have to do with things other than autism, but which are diagnosed as autism. I don’t know why you’ve got such a bug up your hiney....but, sheesh. If you’ve been affected by autism then I understand your passion... I don’t know Jenny McCarthy or who she is or what she does....but, apparently you do. I read the writings of doctors. Have a good night.
