Some Catholic schools take in fairly large numbers of non-Catholic students. While most of them require students to attend religious services at the school and take religion classes, the students usually do not to to heart the Catholic teachings.

Non-Catholic parents send their kids to the schools for academics and the more disciplined atmosphere. But if mom and dad are homo-philes, the kids will be even more so.

I tried to find the % of non-Catholic students at the school, but couldn’t find it. If it gets too large, the school loses its identity.

“Some Catholic schools take in fairly large numbers of non-Catholic students.”

I doubt that is the case here; the weak leadership of the American Church, combined with the absurd insinuation by the media that this new Pope was going to change many “conservative” positions in the Church, have left many “Catholic” parents believing this nonsense. They think the “fundamental transformation” of the country also happened in the Church.
