“Heres a thought: Tisei wins and becomes a solitary but tolerated moderate-liberal vote in a district that would otherwise elect a Rat, like the late Bill Green of Manhattan in the 1980s. As for the gay thing, as long as he doesnt make a big deal out of it, we can look the other way.”
Umm, no. First of all, Tisei is full-on liberal, not “moderate-to-liberal.” Second, Green was far less liberal than Tisei. Third, the MA-06 is far less liberal than the Silk Stocking district that Green represented. And fourth, Tisei is all about making a “big deal” out of the “gay thing,” and he’ll be pushing same-sex marriage and adoptions for all 50 states. I would support a less liberal primary challenger to Tisei every single time. And, as I said, I’m not really sure if we’re better off with him winning or losing the general.
