Dumb. Better to seek independence.
its a start....
I wouldn’t join Russia.
Its a Republican state.
Obama could let Alaska slide into the sea for all he cares.
Russia on the other hand, is just across the Bering Straits.
Which is closer? The Lower 48 or Russia? You be the judge.
Being under Russia again = more appealing than signing up for Obamacare?
You mean what? Or is that a lame attempt at some form of humor?
The last time Alaskans lived under Russian rule, the natives nearly suffered genocide as deaf to slaves. This pole is B.S.
Declaring independence or becoming a Canadian Province would make more sense.
Alaska is one of the finest US states.
Don’t even think of it.
Geez.
The Constitution of the Russian provides all citizens a right to free healthcare under Mandatory Medical Insurance.
As a federal subject, Alaska would still have two senators and its representative.
Moscow is as far from Juneau as Washington.
Of course, a bridge needs to be constructed across the Bering Straits.
Just a joke. These online petitions are always bologna. I am certain you couldn’t get 10,000 votes overall in a statewide referendum in Alaska to secede from the U.S. and join the Russian Federation.
Ah! A bridge to somewhere!
Yeah right. Funny us Alaskans haven’t heard anything about this.

California used to “belong” to Russia, let Russia take Californa.... PLEASE!!!!
They should join with the Lone Star State. A new country needs the sort of asset Ukraine bargained away.
Question is--would our gloriously strong leader feel compelled to defend Alaska or give it up?
vaudine
it would be a road and a bridge to truly nowhere. there is no permanent road link possible between Chukotka and the rest of Russia.
why would the Alaskans want to do this? Are they out of their minds?!!
