Our STUPID moronic FOOLISH voters keep voting for Democrat congresses and leaders. We get what we pay for.
Makes me GLAD that I am old, retired, healthy and financially established.
Look to the Dems to pull a Torricelli; yank the guy and get a retired senior Dem (possibly even Harkin) to step in to save the seat.
Plenty of time for the GOP candidate to come up with their own “political gaffe of the year”.
As Braley's idol might proclaim .... It's Officially Happy Hour with the Democratic Party!
Has potential to offend lots of Iowans, but the Des Moines register has to print it, and it has to be used in ads.
Old saying: Don't run down the farmer with your mouth full.
congress is at least 2/3’s lawyers and look what they do to us.
i’d say the less lawyers in congress we’d all be better off and have better, more well-rounded representation.
I’ve never seen anything just explode here like Braley’s remarks. The Senate race was just ho-humming and chugging along all nice and low key. Now it’s just electrified. I think whoever can grab on and make the most hay will dramatically improve their position going toward primary day.
the people see a congress of 2/3 lawyers and believe the solution to the morass we get from them is less lawyers and more citizen statesmen.
lawyers see a congress of 2/3 lawyers and believe the problem is that congress isn’t made up entirely of lawyers.
i doubt it...demhole gaffes disappear down the MSMwhore memory hole. Such comments by a republican get the macca treatment.
Bruce should just throw in the towel:
Was Abortion Barbie in the room?
This was the LAST Republican to have that Iowa US Senate “Seat”:

The first problem here is someone from Iowa, running in an Iowa race campaigning in Texas. As a Texan it is not our place to be campaigned to we don’t vote there. Stop allowing fundraising outside of the state you are running in.
OMG. That’s just too good to be true!
I’d rather have a Senate or House full of farmers than lawyers or “educated” self righteous elites.
The less lawyers we have making laws the better.
I imagine those are two very good reasons why Iowans keep electing Grassley.
Is it too early for me to add Iowa to my list of “The GOP’s Pick Six”? (Please; no one reply with that tired, old line about pulling “defeat from the jaws of victory”.)
