Louisville is about two weeks away from the start of the Derby activities (Thunder over Louisville is on April 12th) which are heavily centered on the area where this riot took place and which bring TONS of $$$ into the city.
LMPD is going to saturate the area with presence to knock this stuff back. Until Derby is over anyways. Then they’ll back off and let the MUYs reclaim the turf.
