Yes. The poor women who spend all day in a hut with a smoky dung fire didn’t live long. Some good philantropic organizations work to educate and equip these women with better stoves that burn hotter and cleaner, with less fuel (requiring less drudgery to collect.)

It’s dishonest for them to call this “air pollution” when it’s more like smoking or industrial exposure.
