I wasn’t aware that the bible had dress codes for 8 year old children.

Uniforms would be a good idea.

They maybe upset that she doesn't like pink, isn't afraid of frogs, likes to play basketball, hates to cook and has short hair. All the indications of a homosexual lesbian./s

Well...I can understand if she was dressing like a little slut or sporting tattoos, but wearing pants and having short hair is something that this school doesn’t like. She’ll have to go to another private school or enroll in public school. In defense of the school, they have rules and either the grandparents weren’t following them or the girl wasn’t. If they are that hard up on short hair and masculine behavior for little girls, it would be better for her and grandparents to seek another school.

The school has a dress code. It is irrelevant as to what you or I think the Bible says about it. The school has a right to enforce a religious dress code and anyone that doesn't wish to abide by that code can send their children elsewhere.

This is just another attack on religious liberty. I feel sorry for this girl that she has grandparents that refuse to give her guidance in her sexual identity. If they are encouraging some mixed up gender identity, then they will have to answer to God.

I agree, where in the bible has a statement of what is the right clothes. The only thing about the bible about clothing is ‘fig leaves’, so should the Timberlake Christian School’s dress code be fig leaves?

Actually, the bible does require both modesty in dress and sex role appropriateness. Some might argue that applies to adults, but that would be purely a matter of how one interpreted it. In other words, that makes it this church’s business and no one else’s.

So, if they call “dress code” a policy that they understand to be according to their interpretation of biblical standards, then my response is that it’s America and their biblical interpretation is no one’s business so long as they aren’t abusing that freedom to commit heinous crimes like murder.
