I thought all users got iCloud for backups, something that is real automatic. I’ve already restored a fresh iPad completely from the cloud that Apple automatically includes. I really have no idea why your cloud backup didn’t work.
But, talking about your music ... I have music from the time that iTunes started - and when I got my iPad ... it was ALL THERE even though it had never been on an iPad before!
AND ... all the TV shows and movies were there too! What a deal!
You may have not realized it, but you don’t lose your music - it’s always “in the cloud” and it can always be restored.
I also got a free alternate backup with Dropbox - just for good measure and it ALSO does ALL DATA backup. It’s just amazing!
If you want to, I can show you how to get your iTunes music back and also show you how to do the restore from Apple’s cloud, and also show you how to get some additional and free backup from Dropbox, and so on.
Can you show me how to do that in a rain forest in Central America?
All I know is that it said there were no backups. The music was not purchased through iTunes, but imported from CD’s stored on my computer, a lengthy conversion process. And I didn’t like the new upgrade but you can’t get the old version back. And I hate all the ads I get; with Android I can install adblockers.
