“In a multi-racial society that has diversity, all politics come down to race sooner or later.”
The most successful blacks I’ve personally known never said a thing that was racial to me. They were totally focused on being the best they could be and they never played the race card. The closest one came was a guy helping me on a project at his house. We decided to go out to dinner and he slipped on a sport coat. When I asked why he said, “I’ve been stopped several times for DWB (driving while black) and I’ve found if I’m well dressed and respectful they just look at my license and send me on my way.” Although I don’t wear a sport coat I have found the exact same thing. I almost always dress professionally just to drive to the store. If you do get stopped or you end up in an accident you’re the one the cop asks, “What happened here?”
The most successful blacks, like the most successful whites, are truly racially blind. But, when politicians and activists, those on the left, seek to create political fault lines based on race, eventually the society fragments into those camps. It’s all in the name of diversity, but really it’s divisive.
It occurs to me that “diversity” and “divisive” share the same Latin root word.
I have known that since I was a kid.Always had short hair too.I was wild as hell but didn’t look like a maggot, and didn’t act like one either, made a big difference.
That’s my experience as well. Success in America knows no color and most failure in the black community is due directly to local government policies that encourage failure.
