Just read some reviews of Wild Swans - Three daughters of China. They all speak of how extraordinarily brutal Mao was. Amazing that idiots in this administration praise him. These leftist professors are sugar coating atrocities.
One thing - they had something called “singing fountains”. The Red Guard would bash people’s heads open so the fountain was blood and the singing was their screaming. This was done to entertain others....and keep them in line certainly.
I guess Anita Dunn finds this admirable. We are in way worse danger than most think.
