We tried that. Sent a card and $50 to the grandson for his birthday last year. The card got there but the cash didn’t make the trip. :-)

I wouldn’t doubt that Obama is spying on all former-presidents. He’s so thin-skinned that he probably wants to know if anyone is badmouthing him.
Someone might want to inform him that nobody has cared what he thinks or says since 1980. Only in his own mind is he important enough to monitor.
