Somehow I doubt Donahue showing up at some gay pride parade meeting was going to be about “how to assemble.” Gay activists aren’t much into civility especially when they have one and only one dissenter in the room. Been there, done that.
Of course, I think anybody who wants to march or even attend a parade - Irish, Gay, or Mormon is someone with too much time on their hands.
Donahue might not have been the best person for that anyhow. Egads! They spat at me! Instead of telling them how God has a better idea.

I suspect that’s exactly what this meeting was. I’ve been involved with a number of parades, both as a parade organizer and as a liaison to groups marching in the parade, and these meetings are standard fare in nearly every parade.
