I know it sounds strange, wooden pallets on an airplane, but i see it all the time. Anything normally shipped on a wooden pallet by truck would be placed by forklift on an aircraft cookie sheet and loaded on a widebody aircraft. The ULD containers and cookie sheets are used on every large aircraft, they fit on Boeing 767, 777, 747, MD-11, DC-10, A300, 330, 340.
