"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all."- Ronald Reagan

I absolutely agree with the statement. The trouble is that we have already turned it over to those to the left of the moderates and seem to think we can still prevent it from happening instead of rolling up our sleeves for the long fight ahead - if we have the tenacity and willingness to take back the ground an inch at a time.

The "moderates" are the traitors Reagan is identifying. You guys ARE the ones to the left who are destroying conservatism, limited government, our culture and America.

The last 50 years have proven that a broken, social liberal people will vote their short term greed, and for instant gratification, in other words, to take more money and more government for their immediate want as individuals, whether he is a voter, or a politician, his first question is, "what serves me today?" "me, now", not America, or the long view on which economic system is better for future generations, (only American who are social conservative think in those terms).
