King Darius III in 334 BC, the Persian (now Iranian) leader decided to take on young (22) Alexander the Great at Gaugamela.

One thing King Darius took lightly was that Alexander the Great had a brain. So, it was Alexander’s brain against Darius’s empty head, some candid historians agree. Anyway with 200,000 men, Darius figured out how to lose to Alexander and his 35,000 men.

One specific tactic was sending horse drawn chariots into Alexander’s lines. The chariots had rotating/spinning knife like devices extending out a couple feet. Alexander trained his men to open up a hole and let the chariot fall in. At the end of the hole, his men stood firm with long sharp spears and ofcourse when the horses ran into the hole the spears killed them.

So, the Persian mind in warfare is a proven non entity witnessed by their recent ten year war with Hussein that would have lasted ten days up against a modern western army like the U.S.

So, whatever they are planning with their toy carrier can likely be counted on to be a flop! Like their whole country!
