In Ohio, even. Outrageous. Oh my God, someone with decision power grow a brain already and throw this case out on it's ear. He's a junior EMT!

I know what knives EMTs and Fireman (and LEOs) carry here. They have $300 folding knives that can cut through auto sheet metal in an emergency if required. Some are even automatic (aka "Switchblades"), which are legal here for first responders. They need them.

I don't think we are getting the full story here. In the knife enthusiast community it's well known that "cutting seat belts" is more made up marketing fantasy than reality. While many fireman and EMTs carry knives most will state with years on the job they have never used their knife to cut a seat belt. I'm sure it has happened but the reality is it's almost unheard of in actual practice.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the liberal idiots in any way. I'm just pointing out that the seat belt story sounds perfectly legit to the uninformed but it's mostly fantasy. So I tend to think there is more here than we are being led to believe.
