I see our friendly freeper is right on cue on this thread....wonder when reality will will wake them up?

Ukraine has it’s hands full just keeping the daily criminal element in line...not to mention their Government. Ukraine knows NAto will only send arms..nothing more...they will not go to war with Russia though maybe a few fire fights....

Brussels summit made pretty clear Eu not interested in going to war over Ukraine...and NAto membership for Ukraine off the table until a new government is seated AND functioning with the economic conditions there. They will not take on Ukraines debt, nor their instability any time soon and you’ll see them avoid and drag their feet on this issue...

But you think Russians will take on Putin's Crimea debt when they figure out how much it is.

From Russia’s view, after watching what happened in Tunisia, Egypt, and being lied to about what would happen in Libya, with the same actors now active in Syria and Ukraine, exactly what was Putin supposed to do? Accept the status quo?

Too many advantages in Putin’s hand not act, at that point, not the least of which being a weakling US President, not interested in foreign policy.

It’s a Machiavellian world out there, not the world of pretty ponies and shiny rainbow flags, as the US TV would like to portray.
