Citizens United was a bad decision.Corporations shouldnt be given rights that belong to citizens. I'm going to disagree, Citizens United was about a group of citizens assembling/associating (i.e. incorporating) in order to produce a political publication (a movie, IIRC) — should a group of people be denied the right of free speech that they have individually because they are associated together?

I’d agree with you if these rights were only given to corporations which are wholly owned by US citizens. Now, even our enemies are allowed to actively influence our elections through corporations that there own.

In answer to your question, before the ruling, they already had all of their rights as individuals.
