Microsoft saved Apple from bankruptcy about 15 years ago, by investing billions into Apple.
Canon made the first laserjet printer.
I’m typing this on a Macbook.
I had to replace its Hitachi hard drive in the first year.
Its battery began to swell and had to be replaced in the second year.
(found out later that this was a potential fire/explosion hazard)
One of the internal cooling fans had to be replaced after 3 years.
(noisy bearing).
Fortunately, all were repaired under the extended warranty.
Unfortunately they chose to replace the hard drive with a Western Digital drive that is noisy as Hell. It’s out of warranty now, so when it dies it will get a Seagate replacement too.
Apple is seriously overrated.
I also own two Windows XP machines.
My Dell desktop is from 2004. It had one memory card go bad last year. No other failures. I’ve replaced the Seagate hard drive for capacity reasons, not because of failure.
My Gateway laptop is from 2006. No failures. Hitachi Hard drive replaced (with Seagate) also for capacity reasons.
All three units are backed up religiously.
I also run Windows 7 virtually on the Macbook.
And when the late Steve Jobs came back to take the leadership helm once again.
