‘If they didn’t insist otherwise, one could imagine he was born in Hawaii and his mother was a little polynesian...’
There’s only so much you can discern from a photo, Fred. Remember the one of Purentes recovering in the hospital room? You said he was a dead woman, with his jaw tied shut to keep it from falling open (in death). If that doesn’t illustrate the limitations of studying an online photo and divining its ‘real’ subject matter, nothing does.
I did a whole lot better than the scenario presented orginally, it was supposed to be an image of a seventy-year old dead 'person' who hadn't been accounted for. I suggested it could have been a young person with their jaw supported to keep it from falling open, which is what is done immediately upon death. Turned out to be a young male with a neckbrace.Big deal.
I made it clear to the freeper who posted that vanity, that showing photographs with the question 'What Do You See?' was going to go nowhere.
So what did you think it was? You must have been on the thread to know about it. Did you immediately identify Puentes, or did you do what the rest of us did, try and work out one step at a time what we might be looking at?
Hey, at least I knew it wasn't someone 70 years old. And so what's the major difference between a photograph of someone sleeping with a neckbrace on, wrapped up like a mummy - and someone who recently died?
I'm all ears.
