It’s probably too late now for her to do this — so I say this as a warning to others. What people need to do is pick up a Medicare Supplemental plan right at their Open Enrollment period and get the “Plan F”. The supplemental plan is also referred to as “Medigap”.
I’ve picked it up and so now everything that Medicare does not pay, the Medigap policy will pick up 100%. People cannot pick up a better deal than that anywhere. And, when it’s done right at your Open Enrollment period (which is only ONE TIME in your entire life) - then there are no pre-existing conditions held against you and the policy is priced equally with everyone else who has good health.
The bottom line is GET IT no matter what!
