White House Press Secretary Jay Carney denied on Thursday a television news reporter´s day-old claim that reporters often ´provide the questions to him in advance,´ before his daily briefings, and that he sometimes provides answers on paper before taking the podium. WIthin hours, the Phoenix reporter at the center of a quick-drying controversy admitted she got the whole thing wrong. Phoenix news anchor Catherine Anaya reported Wednesday night on KPHO-TV5 that in an ´off the record´ meeting, Carney had told a handful of local TV reporters that White House correspondents often tell him before daily briefings what they´ll be asking.

not being funny or sarcastic. everything carney says in those briefings are lies, so to paraphrase our next president, “what difference does it make?”

On the record, I believe that Catherine told the truth.
On the record, I think Charles Krauthammer was right when he called Jay Carney a paid liar for Obama.

Rush nailed this one! Today he predicted that she would retract the whole story, because her career would literally be on the line. He said that she likely had no malicious intent at all, and was innocently reporting on what she was shown for her story.
My mistake—Carney tells them in advance what questions they’ll be asking him.
Carney is too stupid to answer questions that he doesn’t already know are going to be asked. He can’t think quick enough to answer on the fly.
Pretty impressive how quickly she was able to see the light. Extortion and threats can do wonders, no?
If there is one patriotic American left in the N.S.A. they could pull back the curtain on the whole gang by leaking the phone call V.J. made to this reporters Editor.
