As with constitutionally indefensible Social Security and Medicare in the days of Constitution-ignoring socialist FDR, and now with constitutionally indefensible Obamacare Democratcare under Constitution-ignoring socialists Obama, Reid and Pelosi, Democrats wrongly ignored petitioning the states for new amendments to the Constitution which would have granted Congress the specific power that it needs to establish such federal spending programs.
But all these federal spending programs sure won the Democrats votes from low-information citizens who had never been taught the federal government's constitutionally limited powers as the Founding States had intended for those powers to be understood.
Thems are big words.
