The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits rose less than expected last week, pointing to some underlying strength in the labor market.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 5,000 to a seasonally adjusted 320,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. Claims for the week ended March 8 were unrevised.

The Department of Truth says we are recovered and doing quite well.
Good thing employment is rising. The way meat prices are soaring, a second job will be needed just to buy it.
According to CNN, the jobs got sucked up into a black hole with a plane.
It was expected to rise by 3 million, but only rose by 2,999,999.

Don’t believe the happy talk coming out of DC when it comes to the real unemployment rate and the true Misery Index. Because the figures are a fraud.
The actual unemployment rate is closer to 37 percent and the Misery Index is the worst in 40 years.
