Radar Hits of 'Significant Size' Registered in Indian Ocean: Flight Crew

In this part of the world, it could easily be a floating cargo container that fell off of a ship months ago, as anything else. They find stray containers all the time in this area.

Well if Fox sends Geraldo out there, you know they won’t find anything.

On any given day, there are up to 2,500 lost containers floating in the oceans, per Sailing World. That is a LOT of cargo.

Anyone have an idea how this site compares with the scheduled flight path of the plane? Any idea how deep it is?

Is anyone else wondering why Google maps is capable of showing so much more detail than is shown in these images related to this story?

Do you think maybe they don't want to reveal their capability or is this really as good as it gets with the satellite they used?

The irony of this tragedy is that even if this turns out to be pilot suicide, now terrorists around the world know that there are multiple holes in multiple country defenses, and that you are able to board planes with stolen passports.

I am quitting Team Hijacking and joining Team Electrical Fire.

I suspect that the crew experienced a fire, set the Autopilot in the direction of a nearby airfield, and was then overcome by smoke, with the aircraft continuing on the last inputted course until it ran out of fuel.

All of the supposed timeline problems will eventually be revealed to be the result of misreporting combined with the reluctance of the crew to declare an in-flight emergency.

Now they are saying the P8 did NOT find anything and returned to Perth, will not return until at least 10 hours later.
What this means is Breaking News for the next 48 hours of the same old tune.

>> could easily be a floating cargo container <<

Really? Most containers are either 20’ or 40’ long. At least, that was the situation 10 years ago, when I stopped engaging in trans-Pacific commerce. There may be some 52’ containers, but I can’t imagine that any are as long as 70’.

STOP already. This isn’t MH370. It’s too far south. Next they’ll be looking at the south pole.

Eye witnesses saw plane flying very low over the Maldives. They keep talking about some “fishermen”. It was at least several, if not many, people ON LAND that saw a plane, a JUMBO jet flying VERY low over their island. It was so loud that people came running out of their houses to see what was happening.

The plane either crashed or landed near there. Why look anywhere else?

Potential Conspiracy: Plane landed at U.S. Navy base, Diego Garcia.

Why? We didn’t want the 20 high tech engineers and whatever hardware they might have had with them, going to China. The base is large enough to accommodate the passengers and hide the airplane. Heh, it’s more plausible than it being space aliens.

I know it’s wiki, but it has a ton of info. Very interesting. Secret, all indigenous people expelled, only military personnel and some Brit & U.S. civilian workers. CIA black site?

Well, I hope this is it, actually.

The worst possible out come for the world is that it was hijacked and is being set up for further terrorist actions.

I am saddened for anyone who lost their life, as I too fly a lot, but a crash is less of a danger to us all than the possibility of a jumbo jet in the hands of some murderous fanatics.

After they finally figure this out, I hope there is a thorough investigation to find what went wrong and apply that information on to other airlines.
