I guess the key question from Ezekiel 38 is this:

“‘Have you come to take plunder?”

Now what exactly does Israel have to “plunder?”

I know the usual answer is they will have a great oil or gas find, but Russia has that too and so do the Arab ME countries (most of them at least). So for me, the above about what is to be plundered is key.

It is an excellent question and one that I can guess as to the answer. Ezekiel speaks of plunder and taking spoil, against Israel that is unwalled and secure in its borders. but, right now Israel is NOT unwalled and secure in its borders. That is why I agree with some Biblical scholars who believe the Psalm 83 war will occur before the Ezekiel 38 war. If Israel gains that territory, it would gain much of the world's oil and natural gas fields. This would make Israel an economic superpower, it would rob Arab nations of much of their wealth and territory, and it would be a major blow to the one industry that has brought Russia back from the economic dead.......energy.

Israel is green surrounded by brown desert. Saw the contrast flying into Jordan. Israel enemies don’t need to plunder anything. They want Israel gone. Israel is not even on any Middle Eastern maps. They just have the cities named. Once Israel is neutralized or a glass parking lot they will turn their attention to Europe.
