Russia's diplomatic service clears its stance in a statement on Ukraine issued on Wednesday.
Actions of the US and EU, which connived openly at the state coup in Kiev, run counter to the Budapest Memorandum guaranteeing Ukraines territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.
A question one would like to ask in this situation is how these guarantees, which the EU and the US made numerous references to during the disorders in Kiev, tallied with the threats of sanctions against the then Ukrainian leadership? the Foreign Ministry asked. Was it not an instance of economic coercion applied to a sovereign nation?
Or how should one treat a practically perpetual presence of Western emissaries on the Maidan? the statement said. And what is the way to qualify the U.S. and EU statements that they didnt consider a lawfully elected president to be a legitimate partner anymore, while they were treating as partners the Maidan appointees who had been appointed contrary to all the Constitutional procedures?
All of these are the instances of how actively the US and EU connived at the state coup in Kiev and acted against the political independence and sovereignty of Ukraine in contravention to the Budapest memorandum provisions, the Foreign Ministry said.
Any bets on whether this makes the Alphabet Network Evening News Shows, or The Daily Show, tonight??? (it sure as hell won't make CNN and MSNBC!!)
Funny. Russia invades, then screams the West is in violation.
That stupid Memorandum Clinton signed isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.
Some jackass posting ITAR propaganda should not draw my attention. But the repeated reference to a Kiev coup needs to be addressed. The former PM was facing criminal charges for his role in ordering the shooting of protestors. Fearing arrest and prosecution he fled the capital and the parliament appointed an interim PM in response to his abdication.
All those jobs that could return to the US!! Just imagine.
It’s fine as long as the USA and crew use NGO organizations to organize and coordinate the citizenry to bring down a government they don’t like. That’s the 21st century way.
I mean c’mon man? We’re the USA! and our regime changes always result in better outcomes for the citizens.
You need to do some homework, the police and protesters were shot by the same people from a building controlled by the Maidan militants. Requests were made by BOTH SIDES to clear that building but the Maidan militants said no.
It is sad that there is this strange sense of correctness to the statements. As I recall, Russia on the surface anyway, did a masterful job of staying in the shadows, focusing on Sochi and what have you, while the EU reps and certain US Senators showed up to give group hugs and promise honey and money. The Soros funded groups and “other” NGO’s kept the pot boiling and the cheer-leading.
While the US wanted to shove the faggots in Russia's face.
Welcome to the next 10+ years as the new #1 media focus: we've have always been @ war with Eastasia.
Our initiation of the violent coup in Ukraine has resulted in predictable defensive maneuvers by Russia, but it appears that the US/NATO has now lost the offensive initiative in conducting the newest global war over scarce resources.
Actually, given some historical perspective in a few year's time, I think Syria will be identified as the US/NATO's highwater mark, much the same way Midway & Stalingrad marked the respective turning points in WWII for those previous states which had been intent on acquiring & possessing critical resources for their own purposes.
Still, we should be aware that there's more than just the European theater in play. That is, we should fully expect that Russia/China will be active in places like Puerto Rico and Mexico in an attempt to pull off their own version of "chicken Kiev".
For example, consider a similar situation in PR or MX, where a violent, anti-US faction took power via the backing of Russian support, passed an anti-English law, and entered negotiations to allow Russian/Chinese military bases just a stone's throw from the US. (Say, good enough for a 30-60 second 1st strike?) For an added touch, perhaps a formation of an alliance with Cuba and other regional anti-US states a la NATO?
How long do you think the US would wait before it responded with its own version of the "Crimean invasion"? 24 hrs? And, afterward, America would then stand "alone & naked" for its aggressive violation of state sovereignty? I mean, who comes up & writes this bullsh!t?
The thing we can take away from these current events is that the future is now. No more pushing extend & pretend and other financial games, hoping everything would somehow get better. Now, the real deal is rearing its ugly head, and Americans are going to have to wake and face the cold hard facts of what has become of their country while they were busy playing video games.
Ukraine is fast slipping into anarchy.
The EU/NATO aren’t going to bail them out now, nut the Soros Cabal, with the US Government in their pocket, are still going to push the chaos, as long as they can still make money from it.
“Ukraine is fast slipping into anarchy.”
Says Soviet, sorry, Russian state propaganda...

Direct evidence in the form of numerous news videos and audio clearly demonstrate the police, especially the Brkut riot police, deliberately using long range sniper rifles to shoot down unarmed and sometimes already wounded protestors. The news cameraman was with the police and overheard their conversations as they fired their sniper rifles to kill the unarmed protestors. So, your statements are repeating the disinformation and false propaganda being used by the Russian secret police and Putin regime to coverup their murders of the protestors, divide public opinion, and hide their role in the mass murder. You are disseminating these lies in effect the same as if you were working as an agent for the Russian secret police in a deliberate attempt to deceive the public.
If you have such direct evidence then post it. I'll wait...
“If you have such direct evidence then post it. I’ll wait...”
Here are the first three examples of the Berkut riot police and other police using sniper rifles, AK-47 assault rifles, and shotguns to shoot and kill unarmed and armed protestors and rebels. One of the video reports show how what may or may not have been a protestor or rebel sniping from a window at the hotel where the media were staying. Although the apparent sniper wore a green helmet like those used by the protestors, it is unknown whether the person was a protestor firing at the riot police or a secret police provacateur. In any case, there were dozens of police indiscriminately firing hundreds of rounds into the protestors from long distance without regard under conditions which would be unlawful even if it were on a battlefield in a war against lawful combatants.

Payback for arresting their Consul in New York. State Dept idiots strike again.
Don't think those guys in the second video were the 'Maidan snipers', but they're worth looking into. A proper investigation of the entire incident is long overdue.
Third video seems to show the actual start of the sniping incident with riot police dragging off one of their slain/wounded officers and protesters doing the same thing on their side. Again no evidence of who was doing the actual sniping, but seems to confirm that both sides came under attack at about the same time.
So the question remains, why did the Maidan militants refuse requests from both sides to allow a sniper response team to clear the building which was under their control and from which the deadly sniper attack occurred?
Why hasn't the puppet government in Kiev, made up of the same Maidan militants now suspected as being behind the sniper shootings, undertaken an investigation of the incident?Especially since they have charged President Yanuovitch with murder and made it their casus belli.
Why does the European Union remain silent even in the face of leaked phone conversations that demonstrate that they knew there was evidence that Yanukovitch didn't order the snipers to open fire?
Whose narrative gets blown apart by having a full accounting of the events around the sniper attack reach the light of day?
